The WCLC headquarters is currently based in Northam WA. Additionally, our lawyers and tenant advocate offer a regular outreach service to those in the Narrogin, Merredin and Moora areas.

 

We provide legal information, legal advice and tenancy advocate services.

Our services are for people living in Wheatbelt communities who are experiencing disadvantage or hardship.

NOTICE OF MERGER

 

Wheatbelt Community Legal Centre (WCLC) is merging with Encompass Legal and Community Services Inc. (ELCS) on 1 April 2026.  Although WCLC will be continuing its services to the Wheatbelt community, it will do so as part of ELCS. With the merger, all files held by WCLC will be transferred to ELCS.

 

Please be assured that there will be no change to the service you receive and all files will continue to be stored securely and will only be accessible to authorised personnel in accordance with our confidentiality and data protection obligations. We will also conduct a conflict check of your file and advise you accordingly if there is an identified conflict.

 

You have a right to not have your file transferred and if you do not wish for your file to be transferred as part of the merger, please contact the WCLC office to arrange collection of your files or advise us of the legal practice that you would like us to transfer your file to as soon as possible.
